The old has gone, the new has come!
A New Creation; The old has gone, the new has come! 2 Cor 5,17
It is when free will is limited by habit, that we find we have done the things we ought not to have done.
I don't think it can be freewill if we have acted out of character! - As we get older we rely more and more on doing things the way we have always done them, without realising the world has changed and old habits or traditions might now lead to errors.
Jesus criticized the Pharisees for sticking to tradition Matt 15vs1-15
And Paul said "see that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy which depends on human tradition" Col 2v8.
In fact the Bible does not have a good word to say about tradition. The good words in the Bible are all about things new. New wine in new bottles. New birth (getting born again) "put on the new self, renewed in knowledge " Col 3,10.
Review seems to be the order of the day, The way we did it yesterday is not good enough for today.
